HEY! ITS SATURDAY

Saturday is here again after the heavy downpour yesterday . If you up today, you onto Kane blog yeah that’s reality.  Did you know that Saturdays are usually kinda of cool after the heavy traffic and closing down of the week’s work on Friday then you say TGIF(Thank God Its Friday). Friday is kinda the day everyone looks forward to go home. Well, it doesn’t look like my headline says Friday hehe.
Saturday is the week following Friday and preceding Sunday. Saturday is named after the planet Saturn, which in turn was named after the Roman god Saturn.
In Nigeria, Saturdays are traditionally to party, because almost everyone is so busy and can’t spare a day in the week. Its also a time to do some cleaning in the house, you get to see some people you haven’t seen during the week, laugh and play, gist about wetin happen at your place of work.
Hmmm, how I love Saturdays ,there’s a kind of stress-free air day you feel when you wake up, then for single ladies and maybe some married women it’s a day to storm the market and shop for the following week and prepare something new and delicious. Let me guess my Saturdays I get to eat beancake and pap or moi-moi, yeah I almost forgot Saturdays too you do some laundry.
Enjoy your Saturdays cheers@readers.

KEEP ABREAST

Sleep we all love it,especially when you wake up from a great night's sleep. In the past, sleep was often ignored by doctors and surrounded by myths, but now we are beginning to understand the importance of sleep to overall health and well-being. In fact, when people get less than 6 or 7 hours of sleep each night, their risk for developing diseases begins to increase.Although the recommended hours by the doctors now is 8 hours but how many people do really get this.

Benefits of a Good night rest.
    1. Sleep Keeps Your Heart Healthy
Heart attacks and strokes are more common during the early morning hours. This fact may be explained by the way sleep interacts with the blood vessels. Lack of sleep has been associated with worsening of blood pressure and cholesterol, all risk factors for heart disease and stroke. Your heart will be healthier if you get between 7 and 9 hours of sleep each night.

   2.  Sleep May Prevent Cancer

People working the late shift have a higher risk for breast and colon cancer. Researchers believe this link is caused by differing levels of melatonin in people who are exposed to light at night. Light exposure reduces the level of melatonin, a hormone that both makes us sleepy and is thought to protect against cancer. Melatonin appears to suppress the growth of tumors. Be sure that your bedroom is dark to help your body produce the melatonin it needs.

  3. Sleep Reduces Stress
When your body is sleep deficient, it goes into a state of stress. The body's functions are put on high alert which causes an increase in blood pressure and a production of stress hormones. Higher blood pressure increases your risk for heart attacks and strokes. The stress hormones also, unfortunately, make it harder for you to sleep. Learn relaxation techniques to counter the effects of stress. There are also stress reduction techniques for sleep.

  4. Sleep Reduces Inflammation
The increase in stress hormones raises the level of inflammation in your body, also creating more risk for heart-related conditions, as well as cancer and diabetes. Inflammation is thought to one of the causes of the deterioration of your body as you age.

5. Sleep Makes You More Alert
Of course, a good night's sleep makes you feel energized and alert the next day. Being engaged and active not only feels great, it increases your chances for another good night's sleep. When you wake up feeling refreshed, use that energy to get out into the daylight, do active things, and be engaged in your world. You'll sleep better the next night and increase your daily energy level.

    MAKE MONEY

    Dead or alive:

Seriously, I thought what more could be deadlier than HIV/AIDS didn’t know that there’s this disease that can affect every part of the body and if the individual is not careful or take cognisance of what’s going on in various part of the body.
Nigerians for instance mostly get so carried away with the situation of the country that we  neglect the health part of  our lives anyways I won’t blame them because the game is called hustling everyone wants to put food In their bellies, buy some clothes, pay rents and at what expense. An average young Nigerian seldom have time to go for medical check-up even me inclusive all we just want to do is to make some papers after to which you would be surprised that the money ends up being used for drugs. How many of us even take a little break from work just to rest and find out what is going on inside of the body. Mm oga go sack me that is their reply.
Lagos Centre for excellency, city that never sleeps including the people. A typical Lagos person is such that the body would finally have to break down almost completely before the owner of the body would even realise he has been carried about in a container.
Isn’t it better to be alive and living than being dead and alive.please go for checkup oo!Life has no duplicate.to be rich for me is to also be healthy ooo.

    Heart Matters

Issue of the week:  CAN Religion define a Man?

Religion is an organized collection of beliefs, cultural systems, and world views that relate humanity to the supernatural, and to spirituality. Many religions have narratives, symbols, and sacred histories that are intended to explain the meaning of life and/or to explain the origin of life or the Universe. From their beliefs about the cosmos and human nature, people derive morality, ethics, religious laws or a preferred lifestyle. According to some estimates, there are roughly 4,200 religions in the world.
Man in this context includes male and female, I intended using the dictionary meaning but just seemed to define man as a full grown person irrespective of human race, colour, skin or whatever distinguishes each from one continent or tribe with good sense of reasoning even if he has any disability but can distinguish between good and bad. Recently, an event occurred which shocked the country called Kenya, and I can still remember vividly well of the September 11 attack in the united States of America to which I know these are major bizarre happenings even if there are worse to purged the hearts of tears that well-kept to fill joyful moments at least.Am sure you guys would be thinking am talking about the terrorist attack which I as well condemn but am also asking the why would anyone hide under the pretense of any religion.
I write to be corrected but can I ask this question can there be a religion that suggests bloodshed as a way of harmony or acceptance of fate? To what extent can a man (meaning Inclusive)harm the other man and derive joy as a means of survival?. According to a recent post I saw by Afrocandy how long do we intend having weapons in our pockets because we want to fight back? Then where’s the Love?
TO BE CONTINUED ON THE NEXT PART DOES RELIGION DEFINE A MAN 2

N:B: No defined religion is mentioned above and none should be in anyway attached to comments please.

5 ways to make your weekend last longer!

Hehe, angry that you are awake after just 48 hours of rest and that’s if you even had one like the I heard a Nigerian joke “weekends do no last cos they are made in China” hehe not to worry its ok,so,its 48 hours. But here’s how to get 100% from the time you’ve got:
    • Double up on activities and make your precious time go further. For example, rather than go to the gym or for a walk /run alone,go with friends and have a coffee or drink afterwards.or take the kids to the shops and stop at the park on the way home
    • Do your chores in the week aim to get most of them done on weeknights so your Saturday is free.better still delegate-get the kids to muckin with vacuuming and dusting, with the promise of a treat later and if no kids D.I.Y(DO IT YOURSELF).
    • Make Friday night special-it gets the weekend off to a great start.create a fun ritual by ordering a takeaway, enjoying special drink or playing a board game with the family.
    • Find time to just potter set yourself time to simply chill. An hour reading a book;watching a weepy film;or time to look out the window and think. If you can’t dedicate a few hours, try 15-30minute chunks.you’ll feel more invigorated and less resentful by Monday.
    • Ban the Sunday blues if that Monday morning feeling starts on a Sunday night,do something special to take your  mind off things:start a new ritual of a sun day night maybe mani and pedi while watching a TV,or pop out to the cinema better still hang out with friends you haven’t seen in weeks-it doesn’t have to be a late night if you go about 5ish.
    Have a lovely next weekend
